To continuously advance academic exchanges and scientific research cooperation in the field of Deep Resources Engineering, facilitate cross-disciplinary cutting-edge dialogues and collaborative exploration, and jointly address the complex challenges in deep resource development, the Editorial Office of Deep Resources Engineering officially launches the 2nd Academic Round-Table Forum 2026 onJanuary 25, 2026.
This forum is honored to invite three scholars, Prof. Quan Gan from Chongqing University, Assoc. Prof. Liangjie Gu from Chengdu University of Technology, and Res. Asst. Prof. Jiamin Wang from China Coal Research Institute. They will share the latest research progress in the field of deep rock mechanics and engineering geology, focusing on key research directions such as fracture seepage evolution mechanism, unloading fracture effect of underground engineering, and quantitative characterization of rock thermal damage. The forum aims to promote the in-depth integration of theories, methodologies and engineering practices, and provide interdisciplinary perspectives and innovative ideas for the safe and efficient exploitation of deep resources.
