Dr. Fuqiang Ren received his B.E. degree in Exploration Technology and Engineering from Institute of Disaster Prevention, Langfang, China, in 2014, and the Ph.D. degree in Geotechnical Engineering from China University of Mining and Technology, Beijing, in 2019. Since Sep. 2019, Dr. Ren has been in School of Civil Engineering, University of Science and Technology Liaoning as a lecture, and as an Associate Professor since Dec. 2022. Dr. Fuqiang Ren's primary research focus is on deep rock mechanics and engineering disaster prevention and control. He has published more than 50 SCI or EI papers as either the first or corresponding author. He has led over 10 research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Youth Project. He has received provincial and ministerial awards such as the Liaoning Provincial Natural Science Third Prize (Rank 1), the Ministry of Natural Resources Science and Technology Progress Second Prize (Rank 6), and the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering (CSRME) Science and Technology Progress Second Prize (Rank 10). Currently, he serves as a Youth Editorial Board Member of the international journal Deep Resources Engineering.
